Q&A
A: There’s no strict age limit! Kids are welcome, but it’s recommended for ages 5 and up. Just make sure they’re comfortable in the water and wearing a life jacket. The guides are great with families and will help keep everyone safe and having fun! Just check in with the provider if you have any specific concerns.
A: Dress in layers! It can be chilly on the water even in summer. Quick-dry clothes and a light jacket are a good idea. Don’t forget a hat and sunscreen! They provide life jackets, but it’s comfy to wear something you don’t mind getting a bit wet.
A: Getting to Mere Point is pretty straightforward. You can park at the launch site, and there’s usually enough space, but it can fill up on weekends. Just arrive 15-30 minutes early to secure a spot. The guides will meet you there to get everyone set up!

Has anyone done the Oyster Farm Kayak Tour? Thinking of gifting it!
I’m considering getting the Oyster Farm & Kayaking tour for my parents. They love seafood, and this seems like a unique experience! I’ve never been kayaking myself. Can anyone share what it was like? Did you enjoy the shucking part? Any tips?
What a fun day kayaking and tasting oysters!
I just got back from the oyster farm kayak tour in Casco Bay and wow! The views were stunning. The guides were so knowledgeable, and the fresh oysters were the best I've ever had. I had no kayaking experience, but it was easy to pick up. I highly recommend it to anyone thinking about it, especially for a gift!
