Experience yoga while floating on the crystal clear waters of Honolulu, Hawaii. Standup paddleboard yoga is a unique adventure that combines the physical challenges of practicing yoga on a paddleboard with the majestic beauty of Hawaii’s oceans and shorelines. Classes available for all levels. Small group sizes ensure personalized attention from our highly qualified instructors, allowing each student to work at their own ability level. The SUP yoga classes include many familiar yoga poses adapted to the water. Most of the poses are done seated, kneeling, or lying down, with a few standing poses as well to work on balance and core stability. Free time is incorporated into each class, giving students a chance to try any poses they would like to work on. Classes end with traditional savasana, a meditation experienced lying on the board with the soft rocking of the oceans waves, fingers and toes trailing into the water, and the mind free to relax and let go.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the paddleboard yoga class?

A: There isn't a strict age limit for our paddleboard yoga classes, but we recommend that participants be at least 12 years old. Younger kids are welcome if they can stay on the board and follow instructions. Just a heads up, if they're under 18, a parent or guardian needs to sign a waiver. Our instructors are great at helping all levels and ages!

Q: What should we wear for paddleboard yoga? Any suggestions?

A: For paddleboard yoga, wear something comfortable that can get wet. We recommend a swimsuit or quick-dry athletic wear. You might also want to bring a light cover-up for before or after the class. Don’t forget sunscreen and maybe a hat, too! Flip-flops are fine for the beach, but you'll want to go barefoot on the paddleboard for better grip.

Q: Can we reschedule our session if the weather is bad?

A: Yes, absolutely! If the weather is unfavorable, we contact participants to offer a reschedule. It’s important to prioritize safety, so if there's any risk of storms or strong winds, we’ll help you find another time that works. Just keep an eye on your email for any updates!

Just booked a paddleboard yoga class in Honolulu!

Hey everyone! I just booked a paddleboard yoga class with Yoga Floats in Honolulu for my birthday next month. I've always wanted to try yoga, and doing it on the water sounds amazing! The classes are adaptable, which eases my nervousness about my skills. Can't wait to float and do savasana while watching the sunset! Anyone else done this? Tips?

Looking for gift ideas — Paddleboard Yoga seems fun!

I’m thinking of gifting my sister a paddleboard yoga class in Oahu. She loves yoga but has never tried it on water. I know she’d enjoy the scenery and the whole vibe. Just curious if anyone has done it before? What was your experience? Should I book it for a special occasion or just for fun?
