Q&A
A: There’s no strict age limit, but kids are definitely welcome! The cruise is family-friendly and many parents bring their little ones. Just keep in mind that the 1-hour battlefield tour might be a lot for younger kids, but they usually love the boat ride and the stories about New Orleans history.
A: Yes! If the weather isn’t cooperating, they usually offer you a chance to reschedule. Just make sure to check their policy when you book. It’s always good to call beforehand if there’s a forecast of bad weather to see what options you have.
A: Parking can be a bit tricky! There are some paid lots nearby, but they can fill up fast on weekends. I recommend arriving early or using a rideshare service if you can. The dock is right by the French Quarter, so a short walk can be nice if you park a little further away.

Thinking of gifting the Creole Queen Cruise for my parents’ anniversary!
My parents are huge history buffs and I think they’d love the Paddlewheeler Creole Queen cruise in New Orleans. The 2.5-hour cruise with the battlefield tour sounds perfect for them! I’m just worried about whether they need to dress up or if casual is fine. Any tips?
Just did the Creole Queen cruise and it was awesome!
I took the Paddlewheeler Creole Queen cruise last weekend and it was such a great experience! The narrated tour was super informative, and the Battlefield stop was really cool. The ranger had some great stories. Plus, the views of the French Quarter from the river were breathtaking! If you’re considering it as a gift, do it!
