Q&A

Q: What's the best time of year to visit Lower Antelope Canyon? Is there a season that's less crowded?

A: The best time to visit is during the spring and fall. The weather is nice and the crowds are smaller than in summer. Just be aware that the middle of summer can get really hot, plus winter can bring occasional snow, which might affect access. If you're looking for less crowded times, go early morning or late afternoon!

Q: Can you still go if it rains? What happens if the weather turns bad?

A: If there's rain in the forecast, it’s best to reschedule. The canyon can flood quickly, which isn't safe. If you have to cancel due to weather, the provider will usually let you rebook for another date without any extra fees, just make sure to check their policy when you book!

Q: Are there age limits for kids? I want to take my 8-year-old with me.

A: Kids are definitely welcome! There’s no strict age limit, but just keep in mind that it’s a walking tour. As long as your child can walk through the canyon and climb a few stairs, they should be fine. It’s a great educational experience for them too!

Thinking of gifting a Lower Antelope Canyon tour - any thoughts?

I’m considering getting my sister the Lower Antelope Canyon tour with a Navajo guide for her birthday. She loves nature and photography, and I think this would be perfect! But, is it really worth it? How long is the tour, and do you think they’ll enjoy the guide’s insights? Also, any tips on the best time to go would be appreciated!

Anyone else love the Lower Antelope Canyon experience?

I just went on the Lower Antelope Canyon tour a few days ago, and wow! The rock formations are stunning, and our Navajo guide was super informative. The $15 fee for the national permit is included, which is nice. The whole experience was around 60 minutes, which felt just right. I can’t wait to go back and take more photos!
