This is a small group 3-hour bike tour of 3 architecturally & historically significant neighborhoods in south Palm Springs. Quiet streets, no hills, constant sunshine, & very little traffic make for a great ride for novices or expert cyclists alike. (This is not an athletic tour, fear not!) We'll explore Deepwell Estates, Twin Palms, & Indian Canyons, making frequent stops for photos & to learn details about specific homes & architects. NOTE: BIKES ARE NOT INCLUDED! Discounted bike rentals at Big Wheel Tours. They have colorful retro cruiser bikes & e-bikes. [ I've designed this tour for serious architecture & history fans, with academic-level information & detail. So, it may not be the most enjoyable tour for some children. ]

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the bike tour? Would it be suitable for my 12-year-old?

A: There's no strict age limit, but it's designed more for adults or older teens who have an interest in architecture and history. Kids might find it a bit boring since the info is quite detailed. If your 12-year-old is into that stuff, it could work, but otherwise, they might not enjoy it as much.

Q: What should we wear for the bike tour? Is it just casual clothes?

A: Casual clothing is perfect! Since it’s in Palm Springs, you might want to wear layers in case it gets a bit breezy. Also, don’t forget sunscreen and sunglasses because you’ll be out in the sun for a few hours.

Q: What's the best way to rent a bike? I don't want to deal with a hassle!

A: I recommend going through Big Wheel Tours. They have a good variety of bikes and the rental process was super easy for me! Just make sure to call ahead or book online to reserve your bike, especially during peak tourist season.

Just did the Palm Springs Architecture Bike Tour, and wow!

I went on the Palm Springs Modernism Architecture & History Bike Tour last week, and it was amazing! Our guide was super knowledgeable and took us to these gorgeous neighborhoods like Deepwell Estates. The ride was chill and the weather was perfect. Just a heads up though, don’t forget to rent your bike ahead of time; Big Wheel Tours had some awesome cruisers, but they were busy! Definitely recommend this as a gift for anyone who loves architecture!

Considering gifting the bike tour for my husband’s birthday!

Hey everyone, I'm thinking about getting the Palm Springs bike tour for my husband’s bday. He loves architecture but isn’t a big biker. Is this tour suitable for beginners? I wanna make sure he enjoys it and doesn’t feel overwhelmed!
