Q&A

Q: Is there a time limit for using the admission ticket once I purchase it?

A: Once you purchase the admission ticket for the Penn Museum, you can use it anytime within one year from the date of purchase. Just make sure to check their website for current hours and any special events! Also, keep in mind that since the Egyptian Gallery is closed, you might want to plan your visit accordingly.

Q: What age group would you recommend this museum experience for?

A: The Penn Museum is pretty family-friendly, but I'd say it's best for ages 8 and up. Younger kids might enjoy it too, especially with hands-on activities, but they could lose interest in some of the exhibits. Teens and adults tend to appreciate it more as they can engage with the history and artifacts better.

Q: What should I wear when visiting the museum? Is it cold inside?

A: The museum tends to keep it a bit chilly inside, so I’d recommend layers. A light jacket or sweater would be a good idea. Wear comfortable shoes too; you’ll be doing a fair amount of walking, especially if you want to see all the exhibits! Dress casually, as it’s a pretty relaxed atmosphere.

Thinking of gifting Penn Museum tickets - any tips?

Hey everyone! I was thinking of getting admission tickets to the Penn Museum for my brother's birthday. I heard they have a really extensive collection, which sounds awesome. But I noticed the Egyptian Gallery is closed right now. Is it still worth it? What should I expect? Any hidden gems I shouldn't miss?

Just visited the Penn Museum - amazing experience!

I just got back from the Penn Museum and wow, it was so cool! The highlights for me were the Asian and African galleries. They have some stunning pieces and the staff were super friendly! I went on a Saturday and parking was easy since I got there early. Just a heads up, make sure to check if certain exhibits are open before you go. Can't wait to go back!
