Thinking of gifting the Julian walking tour to my parents!

I'm considering giving my parents this Pies & Pickaxes walking tour in Julian. They love history and especially enjoy apple pie! I read that the views from cemetery hill are stunning. Is it really as good as it sounds? Also, what’s the best time of year to go?

Just did the Julian walking tour and it was awesome!

I finally checked out the Pies & Pickaxes tour last weekend! The audio guided me through some really cool spots, and the apple pie at the local bakery was to die for. It was a bit steep in some places, but totally doable. I’d suggest wearing comfy shoes and maybe going in the morning to beat the crowds.
