Over 450 small business call Pike Place Market home, so the 5 restaurants that everyone has heard of hardly tell the whole story. Market life is dynamic. Why should your Market food tour be any different? We personalize your experience, avoid the obvious, and get to know Pike Place on a personal level. This does not mean you won't see fish being thrown or snap a picture in front of the historic coffee shop, but you'll also get the chance to eat at restaurants you never would have gone to on your own and to learn something you can't find on the internet. Our tours live and breathe Market life. We know how to miss the crowds and who’s home-cooking you've been smelling all morning. We aren’t afraid to go off-script. Expect the unexpected. Come join us off the beaten path!

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the food tour? Can kids join?

A: There's no strict age limit for the Pike Place Food Tour, but it's best suited for teens and adults. Kids are definitely welcome, and there's usually something they’ll enjoy tasting! If you have really young kids, consider packing snacks just in case they’re not into the offerings.

Q: What should I wear? Is it mostly indoors or outdoors?

A: Dress comfortably! The tour takes place partly outdoors, so layers are a good idea, especially since Seattle's weather can change quickly. Good walking shoes are a must, and maybe a light rain jacket just in case!

Q: How do the tastings work? Are they enough for a meal?

A: The tour includes 7 tastings which are more like samples. They’re delicious and varied, but I wouldn't count on it being a full meal. It’s a great way to try different foods, but I’d recommend grabbing a coffee or a snack afterward!

Just did the Pike Place Food Tour—so much fun!

I went on the Pike Place Food Tour last weekend and it was an absolute blast! We got to sample everything from fresh seafood to artisanal chocolates. The guide was super knowledgeable and took us to spots I would’ve never found on my own. I loved the experience of tasting while learning the history behind each place. If you’re in Seattle, definitely check this out!

Buying this as a gift—thoughts?

I’m thinking about getting the Pike Place Food Tour for my sister’s birthday. She's a huge foodie and loves exploring new places. Any tips or recommendations on how to make it a special experience for her?
