Q&A

Q: Can kids join this tour? What’s the age limit?

A: Yes, kids can definitely join! There’s no strict age limit, but I’d say it’s more suitable for ages 10 and up. The tour dives into some historical concepts that might be a bit much for younger kids, but my 12-year-old really enjoyed it and learned a lot. Plus, it’s a great way to get them interested in history!

Q: What should we wear for the Poor Richard tour? Is it mostly outside?

A: Good question! The tour mostly takes place outdoors around Philadelphia, so I recommend dressing comfortably and in layers since the weather can change. Wear good walking shoes since you’ll be on your feet a lot. Also, a hat and sunscreen are smart if it’s sunny!

Q: Is this tour rain or shine? What happens if it rains?

A: The tour goes on rain or shine! However, if the weather’s really bad, they might reschedule. I suggest checking the forecast before you go and bringing an umbrella just in case. It adds to the adventure!

Thinking about gifting the Poor Richard tour! Any thoughts?

Hey everyone! I'm considering giving the Poor Richard tour as a birthday gift for my friend who loves history. It sounds like such a unique experience, especially since it’s free! Has anyone done this tour? What was your favorite part? Any tips for making it extra special?

Just did the Poor Richard tour, and it was a blast!

I went on the Poor Richard tour last weekend with a couple of friends. Honestly, it was way more engaging than I expected! The guide had so many cool stories about Benjamin Franklin that really brought history to life. Definitely a must-do if you’re in Philly. We even got to see some historical sites that I didn’t know were connected to him!
