Historical Port of Brownsville Cruise aboard the Danny B. We depart on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9am (approx. 4 hours). We set sail down the Brownsville ship channel, where the boat will go into the largest shrimp basin in the world. We will have samples of Texas Gulf Shrimp to try. The boat sails into the Port of Brownsville, where you will see international ships, oil rigs being serviced, and ex-Naval ships being dismantled. You will get a glimpse of Space X, migratory birds, and possible sightings of Bottlenose dolphins. Everything will be seen by boat. The captain gives a historical narration and information of the area.

Q&A

Q: Is it easy to reschedule if the weather doesn't cooperate?

A: Yes, the folks at Danny B Fishing Charters are pretty flexible! If the weather's bad, you can usually reschedule your tour without any hassle. Just make sure to call them ahead of time to find another date that works for you.

Q: Are there any age restrictions for kids on the tour?

A: No age restrictions! The tour is family-friendly, so you can bring your kids along. Just keep an eye on them since it can get a bit windy on the boat and there are some safety rules to follow.

Q: What should I wear for this boat tour? Is it cold out there?

A: Dress in layers! It can get a bit breezy out on the water even if it’s warm on shore. Bring a light jacket just in case and wear comfy shoes. If you're going for the shrimp tasting, maybe some wet wipes wouldn’t hurt either!

Thinking about the Port of Brownsville Tours for my parents' anniversary!

I've been looking for a unique gift for my parents, and the Port of Brownsville cruise looks awesome! It's about 4 hours long and they get to sample Texas Gulf shrimp, which they love. Plus, I hear they might spot dolphins or even see SpaceX! Has anyone done this? Is it really worth it?

Just booked the Port of Brownsville Tour – any tips?

So I just booked the Port of Brownsville tour for next week! I'm super excited but also a bit nervous about what to bring. Is there a lot of walking on the boat? Should I pack snacks or just rely on the shrimp tasting? Any advice is appreciated!
