Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for kids on the tall ship charter?

A: There's no strict age limit, but kids need to be able to wear the life jackets provided. Since it's a private charter, you can bring younger kids, but keep in mind that they should be supervised at all times. It's a fun experience, and kids love helping with the sails!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of our charter?

A: If the weather forecast looks concerning, Wow A Tour will contact you to discuss rescheduling options. Safety is the top priority! Typically, they will let you know at least a day in advance, so you have time to make alternate plans.

Q: Can you bring your own drinks on the charter? What should we wear?

A: Yes, you can definitely bring your own drinks, including beer and wine! Just make sure to check the local laws if you're bringing anything stronger. As for what to wear, I recommend comfy layers because it can get breezy out on the water. Don’t forget sunscreen!

Thinking of booking the Portland Tall Ship Charter - any tips?

I’m looking to book the private charter for my brother’s birthday in Portland. It sounds amazing to sail the Casco Bay and raise the sails! We’re a group of six, and I’m curious about the best times to go. Also, if anyone has any fun experiences to share, I’d love to hear them!

Just got back from the charter - it was incredible!

We did the private charter on Saturday, and it was honestly one of the best experiences! The crew was super friendly and even let us steer the boat. We brought our own wine, and the views of the coastline were breathtaking. I highly recommend it for any special occasion!
