Bardstown is known for their BOURBON.—but we want to offer experiences that differ slightly and will be fun for the entire group. We take a slight jaunt off the Bourbon Trail and offer an opportunity to craft your own handmade candle as well as enjoy Kentucky Made Wines and Beers. During your experience, you will be given a large variety of scents to choose from to blend into YOUR perfect scented candle. In addition, our large variety of candle vessels offer just the right finishing personalization for your aesthetics. As we embark on the candle making journey you will receive full education on how to label, wick, blend, make and pour your candle. Along the way we offer a variety of candle burning and safety tips that will make all future candle burning even more enjoyable. This will be the activity that everyone will be talking about when they go home.

Q&A

Q: What should I wear to the candle making experience? Do I need to dress up or is it casual?

A: Definitely go for casual! You might get a bit of wax on your clothes, so I'd avoid anything too fancy. Just wear something comfortable and maybe an old tee. They provide all the materials, so you can just focus on having fun blending your scents!

Q: Is there an age limit for this candle making experience? Can kids join?

A: Yes, kids can join! It's a great family activity, but they recommend at least 10 years old for safety reasons. Just make sure they have a parent or guardian with them to help out. It's super fun and a nice way to bond!

Q: How far in advance do you have to book this experience? And what if we need to reschedule?

A: Booking usually requires at least a week in advance, but it can fill up quickly on weekends. If you need to reschedule, they’re pretty flexible, just give them a call or shoot an email. They definitely want you to enjoy the experience!

Excited for the Pour Your Own Candle Making Experience!

I just booked the Pour Your Own Candle Making Experience in Louisville for next month and I can't wait! I'm bringing my sister as a birthday gift. The idea of blending our own scents with some Kentucky wines sounds amazing. Anyone else been? What's the best scent combo you've tried?

Thinking about gifting the candle making class, any thoughts?

Hey everyone! I'm considering getting a candle making experience for my friend's bridal shower. I think it’d be super fun for the group! Has anyone experienced it? How many people can join? Is it suitable for a wide range of ages?
