Q&A
A: Yes, there are some age restrictions. Participants need to be at least 12 years old to join the tour, and minors must be accompanied by an adult. It's a fun ride, but the elevation and speed can be a bit intense for younger kids. So just keep that in mind!
A: If the weather doesn't cooperate, they allow you to reschedule without any fees as long as you give them a 24-hour notice. Just remember that Haleakala can be unpredictable, so it's best to monitor the weather leading up to your tour!
A: Dress in layers! It can get pretty chilly at 6,500 feet early in the morning, so I'd recommend a light jacket or long sleeves. As you ride down, you’ll warm up quickly, so wearing something comfortable is key. Closed-toe shoes are a must too, and don’t forget your sunscreen!

Just booked the Haleakala bike tour for my sister's birthday!
I’m so excited! I just snagged the pre-dawn Haleakala bike tour for my sister’s birthday. She loves biking and the view is supposed to be amazing. I hope the weather cooperates! I went for the 6,500 to sea level option since it’s more affordable and still has a great view. Anyone have tips for what to do while we wait for the sunrise?
Anyone been on the Haleakala bike tour recently?
I’m thinking about doing the Haleakala bike tour soon but nervous about the downhill part. Is it really easy, or do I need to be an experienced biker? Also, what’s the best time to go? I want to catch that sunrise vibe!
