Each Pedicab can carry 3 passengers. All of our pedicabs are motorized, allowing us to travel up to 15 mph. Fast enough to get where we need to go, but slow enough to take in all the sights. The Pedicab drivers are all licensed chauffeurs, so you can drink alcoholic beverages as a passenger. Just no glass bottles and the drivers cannot provide the beverages to you (you have to purchase alcohol from a store or restaurant).

Q&A

Q: Is there a weight limit for the pedicab, and can we drink alcohol during the tour?

A: There isn't a strict weight limit, but the pedicabs can comfortably carry 3 passengers. As for drinking, yes! You can bring your own alcoholic beverages, just make sure it’s not in glass containers. The drivers can't provide drinks, so you’ll need to pick them up yourself before the ride.

Q: What happens if it rains? Are there any weather cancellations?

A: If it rains and the weather looks bad, they usually reschedule the tour for you. Just keep an eye on the forecast, and you can contact the Austin Pedicab Company for their specific policies on rescheduling due to weather.

Q: Are kids allowed on the pedicab? What’s the age limit?

A: Yes, kids can definitely join the tour! There’s no strict age limit, but keep in mind that the pedicab can only fit 3 passengers total. Just make sure the kids are comfortable, and if they’re young, bringing a booster seat is a good idea.

Such a fun way to see Austin! 🚴‍♂️

I just did the private pedicab tour last week with my friends, and it was a blast! We didn’t even mind that it was a little warm because we had cold drinks with us. Our driver was super knowledgeable about the city, and we zipped around while taking in all the cool sights. It felt more personalized than a bus tour for sure. Highly recommend it as a gift for anyone visiting Austin!

Thinking of gifting this pedicab experience!

I’m looking to surprise my sister with the pedicab tour for her birthday! She loves trying new things and exploring the city. Has anyone done this recently? I’m wondering if it’s good for a weekday evening or better during the weekend. Also, what do you recommend bringing along?
