Q&A

Q: Is there a weight limit for kids on the fishing boat?

A: There isn’t an official weight limit according to Captain Jason, but he usually recommends that kids should be able to sit comfortably in the boat. It’s a pretty spacious setup, so unless you have really young kids, you should be fine. Just make sure everyone has life jackets, which are provided. Have fun!

Q: What should we wear for the fishing trip?

A: I’d recommend wearing light, breathable clothing since you’ll be out in the sun. A hat and sunglasses are a must! Also, wear closed-toe shoes as they’ll protect your feet on the boat. Don’t forget sunscreen! If it’s cooler in the morning, you can always bring a light jacket just in case.

Q: Can we reschedule if the weather is bad?

A: Yes, you can reschedule if the weather isn’t cooperating. Captain Jason is really understanding about that. They usually keep an eye on conditions and will let you know in advance if there's going to be a cancellation. Just be sure to contact them as soon as you can to reschedule.

Thinking of booking a family fishing trip in Marco Island!

Hey everyone! I’m considering booking the Private 2 Hour Kids and Family Fishing experience with Captain Jason for my kids and their cousins. They’re ages 5 to 10, and I think it’d be a blast! The idea of catching maybe a shark sounds cool. Just wondering if it’s really as good as it sounds, and if there are any tips for first-timers? Thanks!

Anyone done the fishing trip with older kids?

Hey! I’m thinking about getting this for my teenage sons. They’re a bit picky about what they enjoy, but I thought fishing could be fun. How was it for older kids? Would they still have a good time?
