Q&A

Q: What skill level is this mountain biking experience suitable for? My friend is a beginner.

A: This experience is great for all skill levels! August tailors the routes to fit the rider's abilities, so even beginners can enjoy it without feeling overwhelmed. He starts with a warm-up trail and then adjusts based on comfort and skill, ensuring everyone has fun. Just make sure your friend has some basic bike handling skills.

Q: Is there a chance of cancellation due to weather, and how does that work for rescheduling?

A: Yes, weather can impact the ride, especially in the Pacific Northwest! If it's too rainy or the trails are unsafe, August will reach out to reschedule. He’s pretty flexible, so as long as you give him a heads-up, you should be fine. Just check the forecast a few days ahead.

Q: What should we wear for this biking experience? Any specific gear recommendations?

A: Definitely dress in layers since the weather can change quickly in Seattle! Wear comfy athletic clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting a bit muddy. A helmet is usually a must, and if you have biking gloves, bring those too. August might have some gear available, but it’s best to check before you go.

Just did the mountain biking experience—what a blast!

I recently went for the Private Adventure Mountain Biking with August on the Eastside and it was amazing! He really knows the trails and adjusted the route based on my skill level. We started with this sweet warm-up trail near Redmond, then went on to some more challenging stuff that totally kicked my butt but was so fun! Plus, the trail snacks he brought were a lifesaver. The beer at the end was the perfect finish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun outdoor gift!

Considering this for my partner—any thoughts?

I’m thinking of gifting the mountain biking experience to my boyfriend who loves biking but has never done trails like these. How technical is it? Do you think he’d enjoy it? I’d love to hear some personal experiences!
