Q&A
A: No specific age restrictions for the Alcatraz tour! Kids as young as 5 can join, but it's great for teens and adults who love history. Just keep in mind that some narratives and themes might be intense for younger kids. Also, the city tour is suitable for all ages, so everyone can enjoy the experience together!
A: Definitely dress in layers! It can get chilly on the ferry and on Alcatraz at night. A light jacket is a must, and comfy shoes since you'll be walking around a lot. San Francisco weather can be tricky too, so check the forecast before you go!
A: You can usually reschedule by contacting Golden Horizon Tours directly. They’re pretty flexible with changes, but try to give them at least a day's notice. Just make sure you have your booking info handy when you call!

Just booked the Alcatraz Night Tour! Any tips?
Hey everyone! I just booked the Private Alcatraz Night Tour and San Francisco City Tour Combo for next month, and I’m so excited! I’ve heard the views from the island at night are stunning, plus getting the inside scoop on the city afterwards sounds awesome. Any must-see spots I should ask the guide about? Also, should I worry about parking in SF?
Just got back from the tour! Mind-blowing!
Hey guys! I just did the Private Alcatraz Night Tour and it was incredible! The ferry ride had the best views of the city lights. The guide knew so much about the island and the stories were captivating. Plus the city tour afterward was the cherry on top! Lombard Street and all the cute houses in Pacific Heights were my fave. Highly recommend it as a gift for anyone who loves history or SF!
