Custom tour designed for you and where your interests are. We are not on a schedule and can even adapt as we go depending upon what we find on your special day. I am a local historian and naturalist who has lived in the area for over 50 years. I consider myself an interpreter of nature adding color to the already stunning beauty you'll see. We'll concentrate on the myriad wildlife, the diverse biology, and incredible geology of the Rockies. We'll also get insight into what it might have been like for early pioneers and lodge keepers as well as indigenous people like the Arapaho, Cheyenne, and Ute. My tours are completely flexible so if you want to hike for 3 or 4 miles, great! Or if you just want sit back and relax and enjoy the view that's fine too! Either way we'll stop often to photograph and talk about the amazing sights.

Q&A

Q: What kind of clothes should we wear for this tour, considering the weather in Estes Park?

A: It really depends on the time of year. In late spring and summer, wear layers since mornings can be chilly but warm up quickly. I’d suggest a light jacket, good hiking shoes, and a hat. Fall can get colder, so bring a warmer coat too. Always check the forecast before heading out!

Q: Is there a limit on how many people can go on this private tour? I want to gift it to my family.

A: The tours are private, so you can bring up to 6 people comfortably. It’s perfect for families or small groups! Just make sure to coordinate with the guide in advance to ensure everyone can fit in the vehicle. You’ll have a blast exploring together!

Q: Can we change the itinerary if we see something cool along the way?

A: Absolutely! The tour is designed to be flexible. If you want to stop to hike a bit more or snap some photos, just let the guide know. They’re super accommodating and want to make sure you have the best experience possible.

Just finished the morning tour at Rocky Mountain National Park!

OMG, I just got back from the Private and Personalized Three Hour Morning Tour and it was amazing! Our guide was super knowledgeable and adjusted the tour based on our interests. We even hiked to a viewpoint that wasn’t on the original plan but was totally worth it. The wildlife we saw was incredible, especially the elk! This is a perfect gift for nature lovers. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to do something special in Estes Park.

Considering gifting the private tour – any tips?

I'm thinking about gifting the Private and Personalized Tour to my sister for her birthday. She loves hiking but also appreciates some good history. Is it worth it? Any personal experiences would help! What did you think of the guide?
