Q&A

Q: What's the best time of year to do the barrier island boat tour? Is there a lot of sea life to see?

A: The best time for the tour is definitely spring and fall! The weather's perfect, and you'll see tons of sea life like dolphins and manatees if you're lucky. Summer can be super hot, but if you go in the morning or late afternoon, you’ll enjoy it more. Just ask your captain about the best spots when you book!

Q: Can you bring your own snacks and drinks on the tour? What's the cooler situation like?

A: Yes, totally! You can bring your own snacks and drinks, and the cooler on board has ice and water for you. It's a great way to enjoy some food while soaking up the sun. Just make sure to pack stuff that won’t make a mess, since it can get a bit bumpy out there!

Q: Are there any age restrictions for kids on these boat tours? My son is 8 and would love this!

A: No age restrictions! Kids love these tours, especially the shelling part. Just make sure they can swim a bit, since you’ll be near the water. The captains are super friendly and great with kids, so I’m sure your son will have a blast!

Just did the Private Barrier Island Boat Tour and WOW!

We went on the private boat tour last weekend in St. Pete and it was such a blast! The captain was super chill and took us to some amazing spots for shelling. We even saw dolphins swimming next to the boat! The cooler was stocked with ice and water, and we brought our own snacks. Perfect day on the water. Highly recommend it for families or a romantic getaway!

Considering the boat tour as a birthday gift, any tips?

I’m thinking about getting the Private Barrier Island Boat Tour for my boyfriend’s birthday. He loves the water and has been wanting to go somewhere to chill. What do you guys think? Any tips on the best time to go or what to bring?
