Never ever paddleboarded before? This is for you! This is our Beginner Class. This is a private activity so just you, your Private Group and your Guide/Guides. We'll meet you in the heart of "Turtle Town" Makena Landing!... You’ll start out with a brief lesson on the shore. Then you will be helped into the ocean. Remember, your guides are there every step of the way. Next is a quick review of the shore lesson on the water, then you will be stand up paddleboarding in the heart of "Turtle Town" on the pristine coastline of Wailea-Makena! Time to soak up some sunshine, search for Turtles(Honu), ocean wildlife and enjoy! Enjoy learning to Stand Up Paddleboard while checking out Haleakala Crater from the ocean. Doin’ it Maui Style!

Q: Are there age limits for this paddleboarding lesson?

A: There’s no strict age limit, but it’s best for ages 12 and up. Younger kids can join if they're with an adult and can handle the paddleboard. Just make sure they can swim a bit too since it's in the ocean!

Q: What if the weather is bad on the day of the lesson?

A: If the weather isn’t great, they’ll usually reschedule for you. They want everyone to have a blast out there. Just keep an eye on forecasts and reach out if in doubt!

Q: What do you wear for paddleboarding? Do I need special clothes?

A: You’ll want to wear something comfy like a swimsuit or board shorts. Quick-dry fabric is best since you’ll get wet! And don’t forget reef-safe sunscreen and maybe a hat.
