Q&A

Q: What happens if the weather's bad on the day of the tour?

A: If the weather doesn't cooperate, Mauna Loa Helicopter Tours will do their best to reschedule you for another day. They’re really good about keeping in touch, so if they have to cancel due to safety, they’ll reach out ASAP. Just make sure to keep your schedule flexible!

Q: Do they have age limits for kids on this tour?

A: Yes, there are age limits. Kids need to be at least 2 years old to go on the helicopter. They must also be able to sit in their own seat. It's such a great experience for kids who meet those requirements!

Q: Is there a weight limit for the helicopter?

A: Yes, there is a weight limit per person, and it can vary based on the helicopter type. Typically, it’s around 250 lbs per passenger. Be sure to check with the tour company when booking, especially if you're close to that limit.

Just did the Full Island VIP Adventure Tour - WOW!

I recently went on this helicopter tour over the Big Island and it was unreal! Seeing Kilauea and all those waterfalls from the sky was like something out of a movie. I booked it through Mauna Loa Helicopter Tours and the views were absolutely stunning. I can’t recommend it enough if you’re looking for a unique experience or a gift for someone special!

Thinking about gifting this Big Island helicopter tour!

I’m considering this private tour for my partner’s birthday. He’s never been to Hawaii, and I think this would blow his mind! Has anyone done it recently? What was your favorite part? Would love any tips on how to make it extra special!
