Private Brooklyn Bridge Tour with a Local

Everyone else comes to the Bridge to take a photo and move on. Not us - we'll understand the huge effort that went in to getting the Bridge built, the lives lost and made, the scandals and celebration

Everyone else comes to the Bridge to take a photo and move on. Not us - we'll understand the huge effort that went in to getting the Bridge built, the lives lost and made, the scandals and celebrations. It's such a beautiful bridge but even better when you understand how it came to be. In many ways the story of New York is the story of the Brooklyn Bridge. Almost nothing you see in the City existed before the Bridge - we'll use the Bridge as a way to understand the City that rose around it - the buildings, the other bridges, the transportation system, the people. And then there are all the fun stories that span 140 years. We'll have a jam packed 90 minutes exploring the bridge, the city, and their history.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the Brooklyn Bridge tour?

A: There isn’t a strict age limit, but I’d say kids 8 and up would get the most out of it. The tour is about 90 minutes long, so younger kids might get restless. If you have an enthusiastic child, they’ll love the stories about the Bridge's history and the city! Just make sure they’re ready to walk a bit.

Q: Can this be rescheduled if something comes up?

A: Yes! The provider, Jonathan, is super flexible with rescheduling if you give him a heads-up. Just make sure to reach out as soon as you know you can’t make it. I had to change my date last minute and it was no problem at all!

Q: What should we wear for the Bridge tour? Any recommendations?

A: You’ll want to wear comfortable shoes since there’s quite a bit of walking. Dress in layers too, as it can get windy up on the Bridge. I went in spring and had to shed a jacket halfway through. Don’t forget your sunglasses and sunscreen if it’s sunny!

Thinking of gifting the Brooklyn Bridge tour! Need advice!

Hey everyone! I’m considering gifting the Private Brooklyn Bridge Tour to my history-loving friend. I think it’d be so cool for them to learn about the stories behind the bridge. Has anyone here done it? What was the best part? Also, how’s the timing with other tourists? Any tips for avoiding crowds?

Just completed the Brooklyn Bridge tour and wow!

I went on the Private Brooklyn Bridge Tour with Jonathan last week and I can’t recommend it enough! The history he shared about the bridge and the city was fascinating. It was way more than just a walk; I felt like I really understood NYC better. If anyone is on the fence about gifting this, just do it! You won’t regret it.
