Best way to explore BRYCE CANYON National Park and surrounding GRAND STAIRCASE of ESCALANTE National Monument in one full day. You will meet your guide at the meeting location and hike a 1-3 mile hike in Bryce National Park and then hop on our guide vehicle to reach a less visited slot canyon hike in the Grand Staircase of Escalante. The slot hikes are about 1-3 miles as well. Think of it as a combo half day hike in Bryce Canyon National Park and a half day hike in the Grand Staircase. 4x4 transportation will be provided to reach these discreet locations in the Grand Staircase. There are multiple options of hikes at both locations, guide will go over difficulty and choose the best option for the group.

Q: What should we wear for the Bryce Canyon and Slot Canyon hike? Is it rugged?

A: I'd recommend wearing comfortable hiking shoes with good grip since you're going to be on rocky terrain. Layers are key too! Mornings can be chilly, but it heats up during the day. Don't forget a hat and sunscreen, as you'll be exposed in some areas.

Q: Can we reschedule if the weather's bad? What’s the cancellation policy?

A: Yes, you can definitely reschedule due to weather! Sundial Guides is pretty accommodating with this. Just make sure you give them a heads up at least 48 hours in advance so they can find a new time for you.

Q: Is this hike suitable for kids? What age is best?

A: It's generally good for older kids! I'd say around 8 years and up, depending on their hiking experience. The guide can adjust the difficulty level, but do keep in mind the 1-3 mile hikes can be tiring for little ones.
