Q&A

Q: Can you tell me about the age limits for the coffee roasting class? Is it suitable for kids?

A: The class is generally suitable for ages 12 and up, but younger kids can join if you're okay with them being around hot equipment. Just keep in mind they might not get as much out of the experience. The roaster guide is really friendly, so they could have fun too!

Q: What should I wear to the roasting class? Is it messy?

A: Wear something casual that you don’t mind getting a bit dirty. They provide aprons, but there can be coffee dust and spills. Closed-toe shoes are a must since you'll be near equipment. Just be comfy so you can focus on the roasting!

Q: Is there a way to reschedule if something comes up? How flexible are they?

A: Yes, you can reschedule up to 48 hours in advance without any penalties. Just shoot them an email or call. They’re pretty accommodating and want everyone to have a great experience!

Amazing Experience at Hala Tree Coffee!

I just got back from the Private Coffee Roasting Class and it totally exceeded my expectations! The setting in Kona is stunning, and our roaster guide was super knowledgeable. I loved learning how they roast the beans and even got to run my own batch! Plus, the samples of their 100% Kona coffee were just delicious. Highly recommend this for any coffee lover looking for a unique experience!

Considering the Coffee Roasting Class as a Gift!

I'm thinking about gifting the coffee roasting class to my dad for his birthday. He loves coffee but has never roasted his own beans. The class sounds so interactive—does anyone know if it’s easy for beginners? Also, what’s the best time of year to go? Would love some advice!
