Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the Private Custer State Park Safari and Hiking Tour?

A: There isn’t a strict age limit for the tour, but younger kids might struggle with some of the hiking parts, depending on their stamina. It’s great for families, but I’d recommend kids aged 8 and up for better enjoyment. Just bring some snacks for them, and make sure they’re up for some walking!

Q: What’s included for lunch during the tour?

A: They provide a really nice packed lunch! Usually, it’s sandwiches, chips, and some fruit. Plus, they throw in water and light snacks throughout the day, so you won't go hungry. Make sure to let them know if you have any dietary restrictions, though!

Q: What should I wear for the Private Custer State Park Safari and Hiking Tour?

A: Definitely wear comfortable hiking shoes and dress in layers! Mornings can be chilly, and it warms up as the day goes on. Also, don’t forget a hat and sunscreen because you’ll be out and about for a while. And, if it looks like rain, a light jacket could save you!

Looking to gift the Custer State Park Safari experience, but what’s it like?

Hey everyone! I’m considering gifting the Private Custer State Park Safari and Hiking Tour to my parents for their anniversary. They love nature and wildlife! I heard it includes lunch and light snacks, but does anyone have tips on the best time to go? Also, do they get to see a lot of wildlife? Thanks!

Just did the Safari Tour, and it was amazing!

I went on the Private Custer State Park Safari and Hiking Tour last week, and I can't recommend it enough! The views were stunning, and the guides were super knowledgeable about the area. Plus, the lunch they provided was surprisingly good! The hiking parts were manageable, but be ready for some uphill spots. Bring a camera for those gorgeous landscapes!
