Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the Private Day Hike of Hetch Hetchy and Wapama Falls?

A: There isn't a strict age limit, but it's best for older kids and adults who can handle moderate hiking. Since the trails can be steep in some areas, kids under 10 might struggle a bit. Talk to the guides if you're unsure!

Q: What should we wear for the hike, especially in fall?

A: Layering is key! In the fall, mornings can be chilly, so wear a moisture-wicking base layer with a warm fleece or jacket. Good hiking boots are a must since some paths can be rocky. Don't forget a hat and sunscreen for midday!

Q: Can we reschedule if the weather is bad?

A: Yes, you can reschedule if the weather is deemed unsafe by the guides. They keep a close eye on conditions and will notify you if the hike needs to be postponed. Just make sure to reach out as soon as possible!

Just did the Private Day Hike in Hetch Hetchy! So worth it!

I went on the hike last weekend and it was incredible! The waterfalls were absolutely stunning, especially Wapama Falls. Our guide was super knowledgeable about the park's history, which added a lot of depth to the experience. We saw some hidden gems that most visitors miss! Totally recommend this as a gift for anyone who loves the outdoors. It's a bit of a workout but not too intense!

Thinking about gifting the Private Day Hike – any advice?

I’m considering this hike for my sister’s birthday. She loves nature but has only done easy trails before. Is this hike suitable for her? How hard is it really? Any tips would help!
