Perhaps one of my reviews says it best: "Taking The Barwalk with Emzy is like visiting an old friend in his hometown and having him show you around." No scripts, no PA's and no costumes, just warm welcomes, prompt service and heavy pours await us as you leave the large groups of kitschy tours behind and enjoy the ultimate insider way to discover the absolute best of San Antonio. From the Alamo, the oldest saloon in Texas and the oldest continually operated hotel in the west you'll skip the ubiquitous franchises and follow in the footsteps of legends. Less of a regimented, memorized tour and more of a conversation you'll learn about everything from the Alamo, grisly unsolved murders, pop culture connections and the "seedier" side of and enjoy unrivaled historical research in a truly magical night all washed down with the best cocktails anywhere. Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this tour? Can I take my 16-year-old?

A: Unfortunately, this tour is 21+ only since it involves alcohol at the bars. I’d suggest looking for other family-friendly experiences in San Antonio if you want to bring your teen along. Otherwise, it could be a great night out for you and some friends!

Q: What's the best way to get to the starting point? Is parking tough?

A: Parking can be tricky in downtown San Antonio, especially on weekends. I’d recommend using a rideshare service if you can. If you do drive, there are some paid lots nearby but they fill up fast! Arrive early to find a spot or plan to walk a bit.

Q: Can I reschedule if something comes up? How does that work?

A: Yes, you can reschedule with at least 48 hours' notice. Just reach out to the provider directly, and they’re usually pretty accommodating. However, if you wait until the last minute, you might lose your spot, so plan ahead!

Looking for a fun evening tour—worth it?

I’m considering gifting the Private Drunk History Tour in San Antonio. I heard the guide, Emzy, is super chill and knows all the juicy history. I love that it’s not just your typical scripted tour. Anyone done this? Thoughts on the experience? How's the vibe?

Planning a birthday surprise with the Drunk History Tour!

I’m taking my best friend for her birthday on this Private Drunk History Tour. I’m excited to try out those historic bars! I wonder how the food situation is since drinks aren’t included. Should we eat beforehand?
