Our objective is to provide a serene eco-tour experience on Kings Bay Crystal River Florida, offering opportunities to observe wildlife in its natural habitat while minimizing disruption and fostering appreciation for the creatures that inhabit Kings Bay. In the winter months, up to 1000 Floridian West Indian Manatees migrate to Kings Bay Crystal River Fl to seek refuge in its 72-degree spring-fed estuary. Our vessel accommodates up to six passengers. As an owner-operator business, I have been operating as a Manatee tour captain on Kings Bay since 2018. Having previously worked with prominent companies, I sought to establish my own business, focusing on smaller groups for a more personalized experience.

Q&A

Q: What should we wear for the eco tour? Is it chilly on the water in the winter?

A: You should definitely dress in layers! Even though it's Florida, it can get a bit chilly on the water, especially in the morning. A light jacket or sweater is a good idea. Don’t forget your sunscreen and maybe some water shoes if you're planning to hop in the water to swim with the manatees!

Q: What’s the best time of year to see manatees on this tour?

A: The winter months are prime time for manatee sightings! From late October to March, you can see hundreds of them as they seek the warmth of the spring-fed waters. Just make sure to book in advance since spots fill up fast during peak manatee season.

Q: Is there parking available near the tour launch site?

A: Yes, there’s parking near the launch area! You might have to pay a small fee, but it's just a short walk to the dock. Just keep an eye out for the signage when you arrive. Early morning tours might have better parking availability since it gets busy later in the day.

Just booked the private eco tour in Crystal River!

I just got my mom a private eco tour with Tommy B for her birthday! She’s been wanting to see manatees forever. I’ve heard so many great things about this experience—especially that it’s just six people max. Really looking forward to the personalized vibe. Any tips on what to expect?

Did anyone do the eco tour recently?

I’m thinking about booking this eco tour for my partner’s anniversary. We both love nature and animals, and the idea of seeing manatees in their habitat sounds amazing! How was your experience? Are the guide and the boat cool?
