Soul of NOLA will take you on a private walking tour of the French Quarter/ Vieux Carré, and just inside the adjacent Treme neighborhood. These neighborhoods were originally settled by Creoles and Free People of Color, they are some of our oldest and are steeped in vibrant cultural history. We will bring this fascinating past to life by sharing the stories of the people that walked these streets & made its colorful history. We'll discuss the varied architecture, and the significance of the French Quarter’s location. In the Treme we’ll talk about music and how New Orleans became the birthplace of jazz. Wear your walking shoes! Walking is the best way to explore the French Quarter. Tailored to your tastes, as are all our excursions. We’ll be walking up to 2 miles, breaks as needed. Let us know if we need to adjust, we’re flexible!

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this tour? Thinking of taking my 10-year-old.

A: Kids are welcome on the tour! Soul of NOLA is pretty flexible and can adjust the content to be more engaging for younger audiences, so your 10-year-old should have a blast. Just make sure they can handle the walking part, as you'll be on your feet for up to 2 miles. Bring some snacks for breaks if needed!

Q: What should we wear for the walking tour? Is it casual?

A: Definitely go casual! Wear comfortable shoes since you'll be walking a couple of miles. Light clothing is advised, especially in the warmer months. Don’t forget sunscreen and a hat if it’s sunny. It can get pretty humid in NOLA!

Amazing Private Tour in the French Quarter!

Just finished the Private French Quarter and Treme Walking Tour with Soul of NOLA and wow, it did not disappoint! Our guide was super knowledgeable about the history of the area, especially the jazz roots in Treme. We walked about 2 miles, but they took breaks when needed, which was nice. Honestly, it felt more personal than any group tour I’ve been on. I'm thinking of gifting this to my parents for their anniversary!
