Q&A

Q: Is there a weight limit for the rafting trip?

A: Yes, there is a weight limit for the rafting trip. Typically, it's around 250 lbs per person to ensure safety and comfort in the rafts. If you or someone in your group is near that limit, it's best to check with Haines Rafting Company directly to see if they can accommodate you. The guides are super friendly and can help with any other questions too!

Q: What should we wear for the float trip? Is it cold on the water?

A: It's best to dress in layers when you go on the float trip. Even in summer, it can get chilly on the water, so I'd recommend a waterproof jacket, warm pants, and sturdy shoes. The guides usually provide gear, but having your own layers helps keep you comfortable. Also, don’t forget a hat and sunglasses to block the sun!

Q: Is this trip good for kids? What age do you recommend?

A: Absolutely! This trip is great for families and kids 6 years and older can usually participate. The guides are really good with kids and make it fun while ensuring safety. Just keep in mind that younger kids might need a bit more attention to keep them cozy and entertained, especially if it gets chilly.

Considering the Eagle Float Trip as a gift - Any tips?

I'm thinking about getting the Eagle Preserve Float Trip for my dad’s birthday. He loves wildlife and we’ve been wanting to go to Alaska. Just wondering if you guys think it's worth it or if anyone has done it recently? What should I know before booking?
