Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this Buckskin Gulch tour? Thinking of bringing my 10-year-old!

A: There’s no specific age limit, but it’s good for kids who can handle some hiking. Make sure your 10-year-old is comfortable with off-trail hiking and some uneven terrain. It can get narrow in areas, so if they’re adventurous, they’ll likely have a blast! Just check with Sundial Guides before you go.

Q: What should I wear for the Buckskin Gulch hike? Any recommendations?

A: Wear comfortable, moisture-wicking clothes since it can get hot. Hiking shoes with good grip are a must! Also, pack layers because it can get chilly in the canyon. And don’t forget a hat and sunscreen—there's not much shade in some areas.

Q: Can this tour be rescheduled if we can't make it on the day we booked?

A: Yes, you can reschedule. Just reach out to Sundial Guides ahead of time to let them know. They’re pretty flexible, but it's always best to give them as much notice as possible. However, if it’s last-minute, they may not be able to accommodate you.

Thinking of gifting the Buckskin Gulch tour! Anyone done it?

I’m considering this for my dad’s birthday. He loves hiking but never tried slot canyons before. Is it worth it? How’s the scenery? I’ve heard so many good things about Sundial Guides. Just worried about parking and logistics. Any tips?

Just did the Buckskin Gulch tour - wow!

I went last week with Sundial Guides, and it was amazing! The colors of the rocks were unreal, and our guide was super knowledgeable. We even got some killer photos. Definitely recommend it if you love hiking and nature. Just be prepared for some tight spots!
