Q&A

Q: Is there a minimum age for kids to go on this fishing trip?

A: There's no strict age limit! Kids are welcome as long as they can follow instructions and stay safe. Captain Shaun is great with children and can tailor the experience to keep them engaged. Just make sure to bring sunscreen and a hat for them, as it can get sunny out there!

Q: What do you wear on a fishing trip like this?

A: Dress in layers! It can be chilly in the morning and warm up later. Non-slip shoes are a must, and don't forget a hat and sunglasses. You might get splashed, so maybe bring a light rain jacket just in case. Captain Shaun has some extra gear if you forget anything!

Q: How do we reschedule if the weather is bad?

A: If the weather looks rough, Captain Shaun will reach out and help you reschedule. He’s super flexible and understands that plans can change. Just keep an eye on the forecast and communicate with him a couple of days before to see how things are looking!

Looking to buy a fishing trip in San Diego - any reviews?

I’m considering gifting a private half-day fishing trip with Pelican Sportfishing for my husband’s birthday. I’ve read Captain Shaun is awesome, but can anyone share their experiences? What type of fish did you catch? And how was the overall vibe? I really want to make this special!

Anyone done the San Diego fishing trip recently?

I'm thinking about taking my buddies out for a fishing trip in San Diego but not sure if it’s worth it. How was the experience? Did Captain Shaun really help you with everything? I'm not a pro at fishing, so I hope it’s beginner-friendly.
