Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit, but the tour is best suited for kids 5 and up. The roads can be winding and there's some hiking involved, so younger kids might not enjoy it as much. If you’ve got little ones, just make sure they’re comfortable in a car seat for the drive. It’s a beautiful experience for kids who can appreciate nature!
A: The best time to take the tour is generally in the morning when the roads are less crowded and you have the best light for photos. Rain is possible anytime, but the tour goes on unless it's really bad. Just check the weather for that day and dress in layers since it can be cooler in the rainforest!
A: If you’re not at a resort, don’t worry about parking! The tour includes pickup from most condos and other locations in Maui. Just let them know where you’re staying when you book. It makes it super easy, plus you get to enjoy the ride without any parking hassles!

Halfway to Hana Tour - Best experience ever!
I just got back from the private Halfway to Hana Tour and wow, it was incredible! The waterfalls were breathtaking, and our guide shared some amazing stories about Hawaiian culture. We even got to stop at this awesome bamboo forest—so cool! I highly recommend this for anyone visiting Maui; it’s definitely one of those bucket-list things you MUST do. Planning to gift this experience to some friends next time!
Thinking about gifting the Halfway to Hana Tour for my parents
My folks are heading to Maui next month, and I’m considering the private Halfway to Hana Tour. They love nature and exploring, but it’s their first trip to Hawaii. Is this a good choice for them? How accommodating is the tour for older people? Any tips would be appreciated!
