Q: What should we wear for the surf lesson? Is it warm enough in Hanalei Bay?

A: You'll definitely want to wear a swimsuit! It’s warm in Hanalei Bay, so you’ll be comfortable in the water. The school provides rash vests, which help with sunburn and can keep you a bit warmer if you get chilly. Just make sure to bring sunscreen and maybe a hat for before/after the lesson.

Q: How does rescheduling work if there’s bad weather?

A: If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the school is pretty flexible. They’ll usually reach out to you the day before or in the morning of the lesson to see if it’s still on. If it’s canceled, you can easily reschedule for another day. Just keep an eye on the weather forecast!

Had the most amazing surf lesson at Hanalei Bay!

I just got back from my private surf lesson with Hawaiian Surfing Adventures in Hanalei Bay, and it was so much fun! The weather was perfect and my instructor was super chill. I actually stood up on my board within the first half hour! For anyone thinking about gifting this, I can't recommend it enough. Plus, the bay is stunning. Just be ready for a workout!
