Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit, but it's best suited for kids 8 and up who can handle the gear and stay engaged. Younger kids might get bored. Just check with your guide beforehand to ensure everyone's safe and comfortable.
A: Wear layers! It gets chilly up in the high country. I'd recommend moisture-wicking shirts, good hiking pants, and a waterproof jacket. Don't forget sunscreen and a hat because the sun can be strong even when it’s cool.
A: If weather is bad, you can reschedule without any fees as long as you contact them 24 hours in advance. They’re really flexible about it! Just be sure to keep an eye on the forecast, especially since the high country can change quickly.

Thinking of gifting the fly fishing adventure in Yosemite!
Hey everyone! I'm considering giving my boyfriend a Private High Country Fly Fishing Adventure in Yosemite for his birthday. He loves fishing but has never tried fly fishing before. The idea of being above 8000 feet surrounded by nature sounds amazing! Has anyone done this? Any tips on what to expect or how to prepare? I'm just worried about the length and how tiring it might be.
Just got back from the fly fishing trip - amazing experience!
I took the Private High Country Fly Fishing Adventure last week, and wow, it was unforgettable! We were away from the crowds, had the best guide who taught me all the fly fishing basics, and the scenery was just jaw-dropping. Caught a few nice trout too! I highly recommend it if you’re into fishing or just love the outdoors. It’s a bit challenging, but totally worth it!
