I will show things that other tour companies won't. I will show you surfers while driving on narrow roads. I will drive over single lane bridges and down single lane roads that have two way traffic.

I will show things that other tour companies won't. I will show you surfers while driving on narrow roads. I will drive over single lane bridges and down single lane roads that have two way traffic. Show you waterfalls and beautiful lush jungle identifying plants along the way. I will walk you in lava fields looking for peacock lava, and take pictures of you inside of a fissure. I offer extra stops along the way. As long as the women are happy the men are happy!!

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for participating in the Hilo Shore Excursion?

A: There's no strict age limit for this excursion, but it's best suited for kids over 5 years old since the terrain can be tricky at times. If you're bringing younger kids, just keep in mind that some parts might require a little more supervision. Also, the lava fields can get hot, so make sure they have proper footwear and plenty of water!

Q: What should we wear for the lava fields? Is it safe?

A: Definitely wear closed-toe shoes with good grip since the lava rocks can be uneven and sharp. I’d also suggest lightweight clothing and a hat since it can get hot out there. For safety, listen to your guide—if they say to stay in a certain area, just do it! It adds to the fun, trust me!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad? Do we get a refund?

A: If the weather is too hazardous to go out, they generally reschedule for a later date. You won’t lose your money! Just keep an eye on the forecast and reach out to the provider a day or so in advance if it looks sketchy. They’re pretty good about communication.

Considering the Hilo Shore Excursion. Anyone done it?

I’m thinking of booking the Private Hilo Shore Excursion for my partner's birthday. The idea of walking through lava fields and seeing those waterfalls sounds incredible! I’ve heard the guide shows you spots other tours don’t, which is a plus. I’d love to hear from anyone who’s been on this experience. What was your favorite part?

Thoughts on the Hilo Shore Excursion?

I’m planning a surprise for my parents while they’re in Hawaii. They love nature and adventure. The private aspect of this excursion is appealing since I want them to really enjoy the scenery and have a personalized experience. Has anyone done this? How was the transportation and guide?
