Q&A
A: You can totally customize your itinerary! Just let the tour provider know your interests when you book. If you want more time at the waterfalls or to skip the beach, they’ll accommodate. They’re super flexible, which is great. Just make sure to communicate what you want!
A: No age restrictions, so kids can definitely join! Just keep in mind that some hikes might be a bit challenging for little ones. But the provider is really accommodating and has kids' snacks and gear if needed.
A: Dress in layers! The weather can change fast, especially near the volcano. I'd recommend comfortable shoes for walking, and maybe a light jacket since the park can get a bit chilly. But don’t worry, they provide rain jackets too!

Thinking about booking this private tour in Hilo—any advice?
I’m really considering this Private Hilo Shore Excursion for our family trip to Hawaii. The idea of customizing our itinerary sounds awesome! I want to make sure we see the waterfalls and black sand beach, but also spend some time at the volcanoes. How much time did you guys spend at each spot? Also, did you find the picnic lunch to be good? I’m hoping for a memorable experience!
Has anyone done the Volcanoes, Waterfalls, & Beaches tour? Thoughts?
I just booked this tour for my partner's birthday, and I can’t wait! I heard the views are absolutely breathtaking. I’m a little nervous about the drive and parking at the park. Is it easy to navigate? Any tips for a smooth day?
