Q&A
A: There's no specific age limit for the goldmine tour, but I'd recommend it for kids ages 6 and up. The tour itself involves walking and some uneven terrain, so younger kids might need a bit of help. It's really family-friendly, and my 7-year-old loved it! Just make sure to bring comfy shoes.
A: The private transportation is included in the experience, so you don’t have to worry about parking! They pick you up from a location in San Diego that you choose. Just let them know your address when you book. The vehicles are air-conditioned, which is a big plus when heading out to Julian!
A: If weather conditions are really bad, they usually have a rescheduling policy in place. Just contact them directly, and they’ll work with you to choose a new date. Most of the caves are covered, but it’s always best to check! We went on a cloudy day and still had a great time.

Just got back from the Julian Goldmine Tour!
I took the Private Julian Goldmine Tour last weekend and it was amazing! The guide was super knowledgeable about the history of the area and the mining process. We got to see some old mining equipment and even panned for gold! The drive from San Diego was about an hour, but they picked us up right on time. If you're into history or just want a unique day out, I highly recommend it!
Considering the Julian Goldmine Tour as a gift for my husband
I’m thinking about getting this goldmine tour as a gift for my husband’s birthday. He loves history and outdoor stuff! But I’m not sure if it’ll be too easy for him. Anyone done it? Was it fun for adults?
