Ketchikan, Alaska, is truly the beginning of the last frontier. Set at the southernmost entrance to Alaska’s famed Inside Passage, a network of waterways snakes through some of the most jaw-droppingly beautiful wilderness in the world. Ketchikan is best known for three things: feisty salmon, idyllic scenery, and an incredibly rich Alaska Native culture. We are Native Americans, proud of our culture, and can't wait to share it all with you. This tour is completely flexible and can be tailored to your group's interests. Some options include visiting totem parks, beaches, waterfalls, or going on a hike. While you explore, we will teach you about our Alaskan Native culture and traditions.

Q&A

Q: Is this tour suitable for kids and are there any age restrictions?

A: Yes, this tour is great for kids! There's no specific age restriction. The guides are super accommodating and they'll tailor the experience to keep it fun and engaging for younger ones. Just make sure they can handle a little walking if you choose the hiking option. Overall, a fantastic family activity!

Q: What if the weather is bad on the day of the tour? Can we reschedule?

A: Totally understandable to be concerned! Rainy Day Tours is pretty flexible. If the weather's really bad, they’ll usually let you reschedule without a hassle. Just make sure to check their policy when you book. It’s always good to have a backup plan, especially in Alaska!

Q: What should we wear? Is it muddy if we hike?

A: Wear layers! The weather changes fast in Ketchikan, and it can get chilly. I’d recommend waterproof shoes if you’re going hiking since it can definitely get muddy. And don’t forget a rain jacket! The hike was one of my favorite parts of the tour, but you’ll want to be prepared.
