Q&A
A: Great question! There’s no strict age limit for the tour, but it’s generally suited for ages 12 and up due to some hiking involved. Keep in mind that younger kids can join too, but they may need a bit more supervision. Just make sure he’s up for some walking and exploring!
A: I'd recommend wearing comfortable, breathable clothes since you'll be walking through coffee fields and the national park. Definitely bring sturdy shoes—sneakers or hiking boots are ideal! It can get a bit damp, so a light jacket or the provided Patagonia rain jackets can be handy too.
A: Yes! They’re pretty flexible with rescheduling as long as you give them a heads up at least 48 hours in advance. Just reach out to Big Island Backroad Adventures, and they’ll help you find a new date. It’s nice to know they’re accommodating!

Thinking about the Private Kona Coffee Tour - any tips?
Hey everyone! I’m considering gifting the Private Kona Coffee and National Historic Parks Tour to my parents for their anniversary. They love coffee and history! Has anyone done this? What was your favorite part? I heard the coffee fields are beautiful, but not sure about the park. Any recommendations on what to expect?
Just did the Kona Coffee Tour! So worth it!
I recently went on the Private Kona Coffee and National Historic Parks Tour and wow, it was amazing! The coffee tasting part was delicious, and I learned so much about its history. The national park was breathtaking too. Just a heads up, the walking can be a bit much for some, but totally manageable. If you’re a coffee lover, this is a must-do!
