Sail the Long Island Sound with Captain Steve. Sit back and relax as we tour Manhasset Bay, nestled between Great Neck's Kings Point and Port Washington's Sands Point. Oogle at the multi million dollar Mansions lining the coast until the bay opens up into the Long Island Sound where New York City's skyline comes into view. During our tour you will see the Throgs Neck Bridge, Hart Island (NYC's potters field), the Steppingstone and Execution Rocks Lighthouses. We welcome newbies and accomplished sailors to take the helm, trim the sales, tack and jibe. Want a more relaxing experience, we can drop anchor in a quiet bay for lunch and a swim. Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this sailing experience?

A: There's no strict age limit, but Captain Steve recommends that kids be at least 5 years old for safety reasons. Kids love the adventure and the view of the mansions! Just make sure they have a life jacket if they’re under 12. Also, plan for some snacks for them since it can get a bit long.

Q: What should we wear for the sailing trip? Is it okay to bring food?

A: Dress in layers! It can get chilly on the water, especially with the wind. Closed-toe shoes are a must since the deck can get slippery. As for food, you can absolutely bring a picnic! Just check with Captain Steve about the cooler size and what’s allowed.

Q: Can we reschedule if the weather looks bad?

A: Yes, absolutely! Captain Steve is really flexible with rescheduling due to weather. If there are storms or strong winds, he’ll contact you the day before to sort things out. Just keep an eye on the forecast as your date approaches.

I’m considering this private sailing experience for my boyfriend's birthday. I love the idea of sailing around Manhasset Bay and seeing those mansions! Has anyone done this? How's the atmosphere with Captain Steve? Also, is it possible to swim during the tour? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Just got back from the sailing experience!

OMG, we had the best time on the Long Island Sound with Captain Steve! The views of NYC skyline were breathtaking. He even let us take the wheel! Perfect for a bachelorette party or just hanging with friends. Highly recommend bringing snacks and a cooler. Don't forget the sunscreen!
