We are a small, family-owned company with a passion for wildlife & the environment! Founded in 2005 by manatee rescue volunteers focused on safeguarding the dwindling manatee population, our goal has always been to bring you the very best in educational, animal friendly tours. It has never been our ambition to have the largest fleet of boats on the water. Instead, we aim to have the smallest possible impact…which is why we only offer small tours & are proud to be 1 of 2 Guardian Guides with Save the Manatee Club! Regardless of whether you book a tour with us, we kindly ask that you respect the manatees & their space…not crowd or prey on them. Any tour company promoting the petting of wild manatees is truly part of an ongoing local problem. We love snorkeling with the manatees, but always remain mindful not to interfere with their natural behavior. You can also see them very well from the boat, so whether in the water or out, it's truly a magical adventure!

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this tour? Looking to get this for my 10-year-old!

A: Great question! Kids under 6 can participate for free if they’re accompanied by an adult. For kids aged 6 and up, they can enjoy the tour but should be comfortable in the water and wearing snorkeling gear. Just be sure to check the weather on the day of your tour, as that might affect younger kids' safety.

Q: What if it rains? Do they cancel the tour?

A: They do go out in light rain, but if the weather is severe, they will cancel for safety reasons. You can usually reschedule or get a refund, but check their policy just to be sure. It’s best to call them if rain is in the forecast!

Q: What do you wear for the snorkeling tour? Any suggestions?

A: You’ll want to wear a swimsuit since you'll be in the water a lot! A rash guard is a great idea for sun protection. Also, consider water shoes for comfort. They provide snorkeling gear, but you should be comfortable in your own suit!

Amazing Manatee Snorkeling Experience - Worth Every Penny!

Just got back from a Private Manatee Snorkel Tour in Crystal River, and wow, it was incredible! The company is super passionate about manatees, which really shows. We got a free GoPro photo package, and they took some amazing shots of us with the manatees! Just a heads up, be ready to swim a bit, but it's not too hard. Highly recommend it for families or wildlife lovers!

Is the Manatee Tour Good for Kids?

I’m considering this as a gift for my niece's birthday. She’s 8 and loves marine life! I’m just wondering if it’s actually fun for kids and if there are any safety concerns I should know about? Would love to hear your thoughts!
