As the leaders in the industry we feel it is our duty to have all our tours conducted by professionals. Our Manatee snorkel tours are guided by USCG Captain as well as a licensed and insured dive professional. Our in water professionals are trained as first responders, with First aid, CPR, AED administration and in-water rescue training. Captain and guides are also trained in manatee manners, through the Manatee Eco Tourism Association in coordination with United States Fish and Wildlife Service. The training allows us to lead the industry by operating the saftest tours on the water for our guest and manatees alike.

Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for kids on the Manatee Swim Tour?

A: Kids must be at least 5 years old to join the tour. They should also be comfortable swimming in open water since you'll be in the Gulf. It's a great family outing, and my 7-year-old had a blast! Just make sure to keep an eye on them since there are manatees around.

Q: What happens if it rains on the day of the tour?

A: If it rains but conditions are safe, the tour usually goes ahead as scheduled. However, if the weather is too rough, they might reschedule or cancel. I’d recommend calling them the day before to check their policy. They’re very accommodating!

Q: Is there parking available at the tour location?

A: Yes! There’s a parking lot right at Waterfront Adventures, and it’s free for customers. Just arrive a bit early to find a good spot, especially during peak season. I parked there without any issues.

Just came back from the Manatee Swim Tour - Amazing!

I just did the Private Manatee Swim Tour in Crystal River, Florida, and wow, what an experience! The tour guides were super knowledgeable, and we got to swim right next to these gentle giants. They provided all the snorkeling gear, and the wetsuits kept us warm. I can't believe how friendly the manatees were! This would make an awesome gift for anyone who loves nature or animals.

Thinking of gifting the Manatee Swim Tour - worth it?

I'm considering this Private Manatee Swim Tour as a gift for my parents’ anniversary. They love snorkeling, but I’m worried about the water temperature and whether they’ll handle the swim. Anyone have thoughts? Also, is this a good experience for older folks?
