A: There isn’t a strict age limit, but the tour is best for kids 8 and up. Younger kids might enjoy it but may not fully grasp the historical context. Just make sure to bring along some snacks to keep them happy during the trip!
A: For groups of 5 to 10, you’ll be in a Mercedes Sprinter van. It’s super comfortable and has enough space for everyone, plus luggage if needed. The hotel pickup is smooth, just make sure to confirm your hotel details ahead of time!
A: They usually operate rain or shine, but if it’s severe weather (like storms), you can reschedule. Just check their policy when you book. Also, wearing layers is smart since it can change quickly in DC!

Thinking of gifting the Mount Vernon tour to my history buff brother!
I’m planning to surprise my brother with the Private Mount Vernon Tour. He’s always been obsessed with George Washington and loves historical places. Just wondering if anyone has gone on it recently? How in-depth is the tour? Also, how exhausting is it? I want to make sure he won't be too worn out!
Had an amazing time at Mount Vernon - here's my experience!
Just got back from the Private Mount Vernon Tour, and it was incredible! The guide was super knowledgeable, and we got to see everything in the mansion. The Slave Quarters were eye-opening, and the gardens were beautiful. We ended up buying some souvenirs from the gift shop too! Highly recommend it if you’re considering. Perfect for family outings or friends!
