Q&A
A: Definitely dress in layers since it can get chilly in the woods, especially in the morning. A light jacket and comfortable shoes are a must—you're gonna want to walk around! The weather can be unpredictable, so check the forecast before you go.
A: No age limit, so your younger siblings can definitely come along! The tour is family-friendly, and the guide is great with kids. Just double-check the hiking trails you choose to make sure they’re manageable for them.
A: The ferry upgrade is definitely worth it! You get to see the Bay from a new perspective, and the views are amazing. Just let your guide know if you want to add it when you start the tour. It’s an extra cost, but totally worth it for the experience.

Just did the Muir Woods tour and it was amazing!
I booked the Private Muir Woods Tour via a Tesla for my partner's birthday, and it was totally worth it! The guide picked us up right from our hotel in SF, and the Tesla was super comfy. Muir Woods was so beautiful, those redwoods are massive! We spent a couple of hours hiking and then checked out Sausalito, had lunch by the water, and I even got to snap some pics of the Floating Homes. Highly recommend this for anyone wanting a unique day out!
Thinking about gifting the Muir Woods experience!
I’m looking to get this Muir Woods tour as a gift for my parents. They love nature but don’t really hike much anymore. Is this tour a good choice for older adults? Also, how accommodating are they with pickups?
