Q&A

Q: What happens if the weather is bad and we can't see the Northern Lights?

A: If the weather doesn't cooperate and the auroras are not visible, Riley will work with you to reschedule for another night. He’s great about keeping an eye on the forecast and will let you know the best times to try again. Just be flexible and ready for some adventure!

Q: Is this tour good for beginners who know nothing about photography?

A: Absolutely! Riley is super patient and makes everything easy to understand. He tailors his tips to your skill level, so whether you're a total beginner or more advanced, you'll learn something new. Plus, the auroras are just stunning, you’ll love it!

Q: How much walking do we do, and what's the best time to book this experience?

A: You’ll be mostly in the vehicle chasing the lights, but there are a few short walks to optimal spots! I’d recommend booking for January or February, those months have the clearest skies. Just dress warmly; it gets pretty chilly at night.

Just booked the Northern Lights photography tour in Fairbanks!

I’m so excited! I just reserved a spot for my girlfriend and me for next month. Riley seems like such a great guide, and I love that it’s just the two of us. I’m a beginner at photography, so the tips he provides will be super helpful. I just hope the weather cooperates! Anyone have tips for what to wear or bring?

Had an amazing time on the Aurora Photography Tour!

Just got back from the tour, and wow, it was breathtaking! We saw the Northern Lights dance above us and Riley was incredible at capturing it all. He even taught us how to use long exposure settings on our cameras! Highly recommend this tour; it’s worth every penny. Make sure to dress warm, I got a bit chilly towards the end!
