Q&A
A: Honestly, any time is great, but winter has its charm! If you go from November to March, the blankets provided really add to the experience. Just be prepared for colder temps. Spring and fall are also amazing for the beautiful colors in the park. Just check the weather the day of, as heavy rain can sometimes lead to cancellations.
A: Unfortunately, pets aren't allowed on the carriage rides. It's mainly for the comfort of both the animals and passengers. You could take turns walking your dog in the park while someone else enjoys the ride. It'll give you a nice chance to explore while still spending time together.
A: The ride generally lasts about 45 minutes to an hour, but it can vary based on your route and traffic in the park. It’s a good idea to allow a little extra time in your schedule so you can enjoy the stops, especially at the fountain. The driver usually takes a few moments to let you snap some photos!

Thinking of gifting a Central Park carriage ride for my parents' anniversary!
I’m planning to surprise my parents with a private carriage ride in Central Park for their anniversary. I read it’s pretty romantic and they’ll get to see all the iconic spots like Bethesda Fountain and Cherry Hill. I just hope the weather cooperates! Has anyone done this recently? Any tips or must-know details? Should I book in advance?
Just did the Central Park carriage ride with my kids — Here’s our experience!
We just took the private carriage ride through Central Park last weekend, and it was a blast! The kids loved seeing the Carousel and we got to take a ton of photos at Bethesda Fountain. The guide was super informative and friendly. Just a heads up, it can get chilly if you're going in the winter, but the blankets helped a lot. Would totally recommend this for families!
