Glassblowing, at its heart, is a team sport! We bill by the piece, but we can get more than one person working on each piece. Most pieces are great for either one or two people. We encourage teamwork with you and your fellow glassblowing students, making this an ideal activity for families and groups, large or small. As a team-building activity, glassblowing lessons bring you and your group together in a fun, challenging, and interactive format that strengthens bonds and encourages teamwork. When you come with your family and friends to make one or more pieces per person, we team you up to involve as many people as possible in the whole experience. The more pieces you make, the more experience everyone gets in the glass studio.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for participants in the glassblowing lesson?

A: Yes, the recommended age for participants is 12 and up, but younger kids can usually join if accompanied by an adult. It’s really about safety since you’re working with hot glass and tools. Just check with the studio beforehand to make sure they’re okay with bringing younger kids if you're interested!

Q: What should I wear for the glassblowing lesson?

A: Wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty. Closed-toe shoes are a must since you’re in a workshop with hot equipment. They recommend avoiding loose clothing that could snag on anything. And maybe bring a light sweater; it can get a bit warm in the studio!

Q: How does the scheduling work if we want to reschedule our lesson?

A: They allow for rescheduling, but you’ll need to give at least 48 hours notice. Just reach out to the studio, and they’ll help you find a new date. Always good to double-check their cancellation policy in case something unexpected comes up!

Thinking about gifting the glassblowing lesson in Maui!

Hey everyone! I’m considering giving my husband a private glassblowing lesson for his birthday. We’d be doing it together. The idea of making something unique and personal sounds amazing! Has anyone done this at Moana Glass? How was the experience? Any tips for first-timers?

Just finished my glassblowing lesson—so cool!

Wow, I just completed the glassblowing lesson at Moana Glass, and it was epic! We made a couple of pieces, and the instructor was great at guiding us. I never thought I’d actually make something beautiful from glass! Highly recommend for a fun date or group activity. Plus, Maui is gorgeous, so it’s a win-win.
