Our experienced guides will take you into the slot canyon on a private tour. This tour avoids almost all other tourists and provides stunning morning light. Most days we shoot for an hour before seeing another person. It's perfect for using a tripod in those low light situations when you need a slower shutter speed. Even if you're only using a smartphone, we can help you get the best shots no matter what camera you have! We'll board at the main shop on Center st. and the drive is about 40 minutes each way. Guests spend and hour + shooting the best light of the day.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this slot canyon tour? I'm thinking of gifting it to my teenager.

A: There isn't a strict age limit, but we recommend that kids be at least 12 years old since the hike involves some variable terrain. If your teen is into photography and can handle a bit of hiking, they'll likely enjoy it! Just make sure they’re prepared for the weather and the potential for some low light conditions.

Q: Can I reschedule if the weather doesn't cooperate? What if we can’t go on the original date?

A: Yes, you can definitely reschedule if the weather's bad! We typically monitor conditions and will reach out if we need to adjust your tour date. Just give us a call or email us, and we’ll work something out so you don’t miss out!

Q: What should I wear for the slot canyon tour? Is it muddy or slippery?

A: Wear comfortable, lightweight clothes and sturdy hiking shoes. The canyon can get a bit slippery, especially if it’s rained recently, but definitely avoid jeans. Bringing a layer for cooler mornings is a good idea too, as it can be chilly in the shade. Don't forget to wear sunscreen!

Has anyone done the Private Photographers Choice Slot Canyon Tour?

I’m thinking about booking this for my partner’s birthday! We’re really into photography, and it sounds amazing to have the canyon mostly to ourselves. Can anyone share their experience? I'm especially curious about the light and how long we actually get to shoot. Is it worth the drive from the main shop in Kanab?

Considering gifting the slot canyon tour for my dad!

My dad loves photography but isn't very tech-savvy. Would this tour be good for him? My only concern is if he can keep up with the pace because he’s in his 60s. Any thoughts? Also, is the drive to Zion scenic?
