Q&A

Q: How cold does it get at the top of Pikes Peak? Want to get my girlfriend a gift, but she's always cold!

A: It can get pretty chilly at the summit, even in summer! Expect temperatures to drop around 30°F compared to the base. I'd recommend layering her up with a good jacket and maybe a warm hat. Don't forget sunscreen, too, since it’s super sunny up there!

Q: What are the age restrictions for kids on this experience? Thinking of taking my 8-year-old.

A: There’s no strict age limit, but kids should be at least five to enjoy the ride. The views are stunning, and it's a family-friendly experience. Just keep an eye on them at the summit, it's a bit of a drop-off near the edge!

Q: What’s the cancellation policy if the weather is bad? Don’t want to be out the money if it rains!

A: You can cancel up to 7 days before the experience for a full refund. If the weather's really bad, they typically allow for rescheduling, which is great! Just keep an eye on their updates as the date gets closer.

Just booked the Pikes Peak Cog Railway experience, any tips?

So I just got my partner the Private Pikes Peak Cog Railway experience for their birthday! We love Colorado, but I’ve never been up to the summit. I’m really excited about the views from the top and the Garden of the Gods afterward. What should we wear? Any must-see spots around Manitou Springs?

Anyone done the Pikes Peak experience recently?

I’m planning to buy this for my parents’ anniversary. They love scenic views and nature, but I’m a little nervous about the altitude affecting them. Did anyone have issues with that?
